What is Ka Huna Massage & Healing?
Ka Huna massage originated in the South Pacific and was used during Rites of Passage as a transformational massage and healing system. It is also known as Hawaiian Temple Style massage and Lomi Lomi.
This beautiful style of bodywork provides a holistic approach to healing by balancing the body-mind in it’s physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions.
Ka Huna massage is unique in a number of ways: The practitioner uses their hands, forearms and elbows and moves around the table (using flowing Hula and Tai Chi style movements), and works with energy to apply soft and deep tissue massage. Music is played and the practitioner attunes the flow of the massage to harmonise the various rhythms within the client’s body, mind and soul.

If you haven’t received Ka Huna before I will explain a bit about the Polynesian healing philosophy and process, after which I will prepare the massage table and then leave you a for moment to get ready for the treatment.
During the massage it helps to focus your attention on your breath. Each inhale offers a chance to bring in fresh new energy to the body-mind, while each exhale allows to release tension and let go of anything that limits you.
